About this consultation
Scheduled pediatric video appointment, with the child present to follow growth and development
This appointment is for children and adolescents who need scheduled follow-up: monitoring growth and development, reviewing the vaccination schedule, guidance on feeding and sleep, or follow-up of known conditions such as asthma and allergies. It is not for acute situations — the urgent pediatric appointment covers those.
During the appointment, the pediatrician talks with the parents and observes the child on video, reviews the health and vaccination records, checks the growth curves (weight, height and head circumference) and answers questions about developmental milestones. When needed, guidance is adjusted, ongoing medication is prescribed or tests are requested.
A video appointment is suitable for surveillance, advice and follow-up of stable conditions, but it does not replace a physical examination — listening to the chest, feeling the abdomen or checking an ear infection all require touch. If a child shows signs of acute illness, high fever, breathing difficulty or dehydration, the pediatrician will direct you to an in-person assessment or emergency service.

How to prepare
Have the child present and available during the appointment — the video observation is part of the assessment. Gather the child's health record and vaccination booklet and, if you have them, the most recent growth-curve measurements (weight, height and head circumference). Also prepare a list of current medication and note down the questions you want to ask. Choose a quiet, well-lit space with a good internet connection so the pediatrician can observe the child clearly.
