Specialist medical assessment of mental health, with ongoing follow-up
The psychiatry consultation is for the diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions — anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, among others. The first consultation is a global assessment, usually longer; the following follow-up sessions are shorter.
The psychiatrist takes your history, assesses your symptoms and, when indicated, proposes a plan that may include medication and follow-up. Questions about treatment are answered throughout the process.
