This consultation is for anyone planning a trip who wants to reduce health risks at their destination, particularly travel to tropical or subtropical regions, countries that require proof of vaccination, or long stays. It is equally suited to travellers with chronic conditions or regular medication who need to plan how to manage their health while away.

During the appointment, the doctor reviews your itinerary, dates and type of trip, cross-checking this with your medical history and vaccination record. From there, they indicate the recommended or required vaccines, any preventive medication — such as malaria prophylaxis — and practical protective measures for water, food, insect bites and sun exposure. You also receive prescriptions and a written plan tailored to your destination.

The video consultation is for planning, advising and prescribing, but vaccines are administered in person: the doctor tells you where and when to have them, including international vaccination centres for vaccines such as yellow fever, which require an accredited centre. Situations needing a physical examination or immediate care are referred for in-person assessment.
